Live Oak Bank Adds Four Accomplished Lenders to the General SBA Lending Team

WILMINGTON, N.C. (April 16, 2019) – Live Oak Bank announces Bill Harrigan, Jay Steiner, Tammy Teece and Jim Vigna have joined as vice presidents for the bank’s General Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending team. The four experienced lenders will specialize in business acquisitions, real estate, equipment and partner buyouts.

“We are thrilled to add these exceptional, seasoned lenders to our team,” said Kay Anderson, senior vice president of emerging markets at Live Oak Bank. “These four individuals have provided financing to hundreds of American entrepreneurs and are proven leaders in their field. They work with brokers, intermediaries and individuals to leverage the SBA’s flexible financing options and Live Oak’s innovative technology platform to get capital into the hands of small business owners across the country.”

Live Oak specializes in acquisition financing across all industries nationwide and has Preferred Lender (PLP) status with the SBA.   This enables Live Oak customers to obtain SBA loans without being subject to the potentially lengthy SBA approval process necessary for lenders that are not SBA Preferred Lenders.

Harrigan joins as a seasoned lender for the greater Wisconsin area. He began his career in banking in 1999 working as an analyst for a community bank in the Chicago market. Bill worked in the Phoenix market where he spent seven years in business banking and commercial lending units. For the past seven years, Bill has been primarily focused in government guaranteed lending via SBA and USDA loans. During that time, he originated nearly $100,000,000 in loan volume nationwide centered on these programs. His area of expertise is business acquisition, turnaround situations and business startups. He lives in the Milwaukee area and serves the greater Wisconsin region.

Steiner joins as a seasoned lender with more than 22 years of experience in the small business lending industry, specializing in SBA and USDA lending programs to finance business acquisition, expansion and debt refinance. Prior to joining Live Oak, he was a top producer at regional banks in the Chicago market and nationwide. He is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago and serves the greater Chicago area where he lives.

Teece joins as a seasoned lender with more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry and was most recently a top producer in the West Florida market for originating SBA 7(a) loans for one of the nation’s largest lenders. Her areas of expertise include business acquisitions, partner buyouts, expansion, new construction, debt restructure and commercial real estate. Her underwriting, relationship management, and credit-decision making experience provide Tammy a unique perspective in the lending business. Tammy lives in Fort Myers, Florida, and is involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida, Loan Brokers Association and the Florida Small Business Network.

Vigna joins as a seasoned lender with more than 20 years of experience in the small business lending industry and has spent his entire career in the New York and New Jersey markets. Prior to joining Live Oak, he worked for one of the largest banks in the country, was the top SBA lender by volume multiple times and broke records for highest SBA production. His area of expertise is in business acquisitions, partner buyouts, expansion, new construction, debt restructure and commercial real estate. Jim received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Lehigh University and lives in New Jersey.
